Eating a healthy diet can prevent various diseases, including diabetes. Therefore, the seniors aren’t required to go on any special diet regimen in order to prevent this disease from happening; they just need to keep on eating healthy.
They need to eat regular healthy foods, such as whole-grains, lean meat, fruits and vegetables, etc. However, they do need to cut down their intake of processed foods, animal fat, and simple sugars.
Although it’s true that diabetes can cause certain problems with certain organs, as well as affect the immune system, other factors come into play as well.
