As men and women alike grow older, there are a number of health screenings that become important for seniors to have. Some of these tests are well known, some may not be. It is an aggregated list of immunizations and screenings that seniors need to maintain health based on the recommendations from the National Institute of Aging and the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force.
Abdominal aortic aneurism testing is needed for men between 65-75 years old who smoke and also includes smokers who have quit by this age. This one-time test can be a lifesaver.
Regular visits to health care providers determine how often screenings tests should be administrated. Some screening tests are required more often every year and others may be less depending on the health.
