At Comfort Keepers of Cambridge and Brantford, we understand that in order for a senior or older adult to remain safely in their home, they need more than just care for themselves. We not only provide our clients with a wide range of in-home senior care services like personal care and companion care but we can also assist them with managing certain aspects of their home. With our home senior care, we can provide seniors with services like light housekeeping.

Comfort Keepers of Cambridge and Brantford can provide your loved one with light housekeeping. This is to help them maintain a safe home. Our light housekeeping includes most domestic tasks like dusting, mopping or sweeping the floors, and cleaning the kitchen or bathrooms.

We encourage our clients to assist their personal support workers with these tasks, abilities permitting, as this can be a good bonding experience between a client and their PSW. But also allow the client to maintain their independence. Please note that our home senior care services do not include any outdoor maintenance. But we can help you coordinate these services with other organizations.

Our housekeeping services not only allow us to help a senior maintain a clean home, but we can also ensure that their home is safe for them to live in. To determine the need and care that your loved one’s home may need, we perform an In-Home Consultation. During the consultation, we will meet with your loved one in their home. Then we will determine the care they need based on their needs and abilities. We will also analyze the home to determine if it is safe for them to live in. Also by this, we can help them maintain their home during the time they receive our home senior care services.

To determine if their home is safe to live in, we look at the mobility of your senior. This is to ensure that their current living situation fits their needs. Along with this, we look for any tripping hazards like loose rugs or clutter. With maintaining the safety of the home, we can coordinate with organizations to increase the safety of their home. This is done with products like grab bars, flooring updates, handrails, and bath/tub changes.
