If you are looking for a meaningful and fulfilling career which will enrich your life and you have a caring spirit and love to help others, consider working as a Comfort Keeper. Our caregivers provide assistance with grooming, hygiene, mobility, transferring and positioning, toileting and incontinence care, nutrition, meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and transportation. These are important tasks, but our unique approach to in home care called Interactive Caregiving also includes providing friendly company and engaging seniors in life.

We recognize that it is important for a senior to have an active life, and this is why Comfort Keepers encourage their clients to visit friends, attend community events and continue favorite hobbies. Our Comfort Keepers must be resourceful and be able to include enriching experiences into the everyday lives of our clients. Caregivers must possess good communication skills, confidence and be professional and flexible. Working with seniors requires patience. Self-motivation is a very desirable quality. Our caregivers need to be punctual and respect our clients. Discretion is needed in this line of work as well as selflessness and honesty.

Comfort Keepers have an outgoing nature and good organizational skills. If you want to work as a Comfort Keeper, you must be a team player and have the ability to accept constructive criticism and respect procedures and protocol.

Some of the care services that we provide are in home care, respite care, transitional care, Interactive Caregiving, end of life care, private duty nursing, transitional care, and transportation services. If you choose to become a Comfort Keeper, be prepared to go through a screening which includes a background, driving record, and personal reference check. You must complete extensive training so you will have the knowledge to provide the best care to our clients.

The Comfort Keepers learning process is never done. Our caregivers must attend mandatory continuing education classes so that they can stay up to date on the latest innovations in senior care. All of our Comfort Keepers must pass a background test and drug screening. Home care providers may be asked to randomly submit to additional screening at any time.
