I started Comfort Keepers of Parksville, Qualicum Beach, and Nanaimo in March 2018. I was very attracted to the philosophy behind the Comfort Keepers Vision.
As a registered nurse for 35 yrs, I have practiced all over the world, often choosing to work with frail elderly, an area I find so intensely rewarding. A common thread through all countries and cultures is that these people do not want to face the possibility of moving into an institution. They would much rather stay in their homes, surrounded by their important memories and treasures, things they have spent a lifetime accumulating. I am so happy to bring this reputable organization to the Oceanside area. I look forward to helping people as they age in place, helping them through all stages of later life, in the most respectful way possible.
I have a wonderful group of caring compassionate, skilled Comfort Keepers working for me. They are certified, bonded, and insured. Each Comfort Keeper is matched to a client and will stay with that client to develop a relationship, which may turn into a friendship. Our care is interactive and involves the client as much as possible. We do not rush in and out.
Our services include companion care and personal care. We have a hospital to home initiative and also can help with palliative and 24 hour care. If there is a need, we can take a look and see if we can help.
My name is Sweet and I’m the Scheduler for Comfort Keepers Parksville/Qualicum. I came to Canada from the Philippines in 2015 and it’s been a wonderful journey ever since.
I’ve always been passionate in working for the elderlies and seniors. Being part of this company, whose main purpose is to be able to help the vulnerable aging members of the community is such a great opportunity for me.
To quote Winston Churchill “we make a living by what we get but make a life by what we give”, to be able to make a difference in other people’s lives is so fulfilling, which is why I am grateful and happy to have this job that allows me to be part of that.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to take on a variety of roles, including Accounting, Office Management, Human Resources, and Graphic Design. I am also privileged to have lived in seven different countries, which has given me a unique perspective when it comes to connecting with people from all walks of life.
I’m passionate about building strong relationships with colleagues and the community, always aiming to create an atmosphere of trust and kindness wherever I go. For over 12 years I cared for my ailing mother at home, which taught me precious lessons in compassion and understanding, particularly when it comes to supporting seniors who are often overlooked.
As co-owner of a landscape design company, I bring a mix of business operations and creativity to my role at Comfort Keepers Parksville. This allows me to contribute to the smooth running of the company while ensuring a fresh and innovative approach. We have an incredible team at Comfort Keepers Parksville, and it is an honor and pleasure
My name is Carla, I play a vital role in maintaining the smooth functioning of our office, as the office Administrator and ensuring consistent staffing levels as the Relief scheduler. Throughout my long career as a military officer, and logistics team leader, I have worked in office, and disaster management, along with consumer service and human resources management.
I moved to Canada in 2019 from the United States and it has been a great journey. I have always been passionate about helping my community and being an advocate for proper emergency management and family planning (Will’s, POA etc.)
Being a part of this great team has helped expand my knowledge on Senior Care and the care needed to age gracefully within our homes. It is a wonderful honor to serve the Port Alberni –Parksville, Qualicum and Nanaimo areas.
I’m a Registered Nurse with over 13 years of experience, primarily in acute hospital care, where I developed strong clinical skills and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. Recently, I’ve expanded into foot care nursing, which has been a rewarding opportunity for more one-on-one connection.
As a Clinical Care Coordinator with Comfort Keepers, I’m passionate about helping seniors age safely at home while supporting families through the caregiving journey. I take pride in being a compassionate advocate for my clients and their loved ones.
Outside of work, I’m a mom who loves spending time outdoors with my family. I also practice yoga to stay grounded and present—values I bring with me into my work every day.
I’m a Licensed Practical Nurse with over 20 years of experience in community care, supporting seniors in both long-term care facilities and their homes. I’m passionate about not only meeting medical and personal needs, but also empowering caregivers to provide compassionate, high-quality care.
I believe everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and respected—especially during vulnerable times. I take pride in building meaningful relationships with clients and families, advocating for their well-being through personalized support.
Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, hiking, and spending time with friends—activities that keep me grounded and bring balance to the work I love.
When it comes to caring for your loved ones, having a team you can trust makes all the difference. Backed by years of nursing experience, administrative support, and a deep understanding of senior needs, our team proudly serves families across Parksville, Qualicum, Nanaimo, and Port Alberni. Whether it’s daily assistance or specialized in-home nursing care, we’re here to help your family feel supported every step of the way—because quality care begins with compassion, connection, and a commitment to helping seniors live safely and comfortably at home.
