It is a calling to help others. It comes from within, from a voice you can’t ignore. You may have been compelled to become one of our home care givers if you’ve arrived at this page. You’ll do more than make lunch, dust the furnishings, or help a client get ready for the day as you serve folks in Red Deer, AB and the surrounding area. These are vital, but our Comfort Keepers find methods to actively involve clients in life through our unique approach to senior care, Interactive Caregiving. Cooking favorite dishes together, looking at old photos, visiting friends, attending community events, continuing favorite hobbies, going for a stroll, or solving puzzles are all examples of this.
If you have a kind, loving heart and enjoy taking an active position in helping others, you have the qualities needed to be a Comfort Keeper. We also look for the following characteristics in our home care givers
A Comfort Keeper’s primary job is to improve the quality of life for their clients by helping them maintain or regain their autonomy while taking pride in their achievements. The main driving force behind this is the daily activities. Contrarily, the caregivers at Comfort Keepers go above and beyond the fundamentals of light housekeeping, errand running, and other non-medical care. A compassionate home health aide known as a Comfort Keeper works to uplift the spirits of seniors by offering individualized care that encourages connection. Interactive caregiving is what we call this.
Comfort Keepers are on hand to help with the mundane tasks of life. In-home caregivers are frequently required for senior living to help seniors with meal preparation, light housekeeping tasks, around-the-house chores, and anything else they need to remain independent, like medication reminders. However, one of the most important aspects of a caregiver’s job is to involve patients or clients in daily life activities actively. Examples include continuing cherished hobbies, taking a stroll, playing puzzles, looking back at old photos, visiting friends, or participating in community events.
