Short Term Live-in Care For Seniors in Toronto

At Comfort Keepers® of Toronto, ON we provide expert short term live-in care and all types of in-home care services for seniors to enhance their quality of life. Our caring, professional, and experienced live-in care specialists are here to help. Our process begins with a complimentary in-home assessment of learning about your loved one’s needs, wants, and wishes so we can match them with one of our well-trained care aides. This approach leads to solid client/caregiver relationships and improves the effectiveness of our live-in care. We’ve helped countless seniors across the Southern Ontario area, so call now: (416) 800-2535.

The basic definition of short term live-in care

Short term live-in care is designed to help seniors live independently in their own Toronto homes while maintaining safety and comfort. Caregivers assist with basic activities like dressing, showering, and exercising and can also take care of home chores, cook meals, remind clients to take medication, and more. Simply put, we’ll do whatever we can to help.

Here’s how we help

Live-in care plans are tailored to the lifestyle and schedule of the client. Caregivers are provided with a private area to rest and are available on a regular rotation. Shifts are typically 12 hours, with 4 hours of active care and 8 hours of on-call care, during which caregivers may rest but are available to respond to any needs.

How short-term differs from long-term care

The difference between short-term care and long-term care is the duration of the care needed. Short-term care is for a limited amount of time, such as after surgery or illness, and is designed to help with recovery. Long-term care is for clients with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or dementia who requires round-the-clock care.

At Comfort Keepers, we offer both long and short term live-in care plans to accommodate the specific needs of our clients anywhere in Toronto. Contact us at (416) 800-2535 to discover how we can help.
